Macro Economic data

We used to publish the latest data on our website but for most customers it is easier to go directly to the best sources and get the very latest data. 
So we decided to make a short list of the best links for these data:

For population statistics we advise to use the website of the Population reference Bureau that annually publishes the key figures for all countries worldwide.
Please note that these are the mid year averages: www.prb.org.  There is an easy to use PDF file.
Another good source for population figures in Europe can be found at Eurostat

For main economic indicators in Europe go to the website of the ECB European Central Bank or to Eurostat. ECB frequently updates information in their "Monthly statistics"   www.ecb.eu and of course the Eurostat site which is the official site of the EU.

For Worldwide economic figures use the OESO.

For VAT tariffs in Europe go to the website of the 'European Commission'. The latest official tariffs are here. Please note that many changes are planned for 2012.
